PM Class Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs
3-6 yrs ***
Location: Trout Lake and Trillium Park
***Children must be 3 at the start of the program and not napping in the afternoons.
In this 3 hour mixed age class, children will be able to experience the freedom to run, learn at their own pace and develop deep social connections with their peers and educators. There will be opportunities to learn about different kinds of plants, search for local wildlife and above all, to care for the land which we are on. During our time at Trillium, we will be caring for the gardens both at Trillium Park and in Miss Belva’s garden beds at Strathcona Gardens. We will plant seeds, assist in watering the plants and tending to the beds. Children will be able to glean life long skills through lived experiences in all kinds of weather and alongside their peers.
NOTE::: The locations of this program may shift to include other parks throughout the year. Any notice of changes will be given with lots of notice via our monthly newsletters.
Children will arrive with their own snack and water. Our teacher ratio is 1:6 with a max of 12 students. Whenever possible, 3 teachers may be on staff.
